The First Sumiden Team exhibited once more its consistent winning form in the FPHC Group's Inter-Company Sportsfest held at the Philsports Arena last July 30, 2004. The Sumidenians successfully defended their title for the third time after defeating six other teams. This four-peat began during the 2001 Sportsfest when First Sumiden was first given the opportunity to form its own line-up after two years with the joint First Philippine Holdings Team.

They excelled in the marathon and fun race competitions of the previous years, and established their presence even in the new sports-oriented competitions, including basketball and soccer.
