FSCI President Receives UP Department Award
First Sumiden Circuits, Inc. (FSCI) President, Dan Lachica, received the “Electrical & Electronics Engineering
Departmental Award” given by the UP Alumni Engineers (UPAE). The award is given to Engineering alumni who have
made outstanding accomplishments in areas of endeavor and contributed to the development and improvement of their profession.
The awarding ceremony was held at the Manila Polo Club, Makati City on November 6, 2006.
Dan Lachica concurrently functions as the Managing Director of First Philec EMS Division and Program Director for ISO and
Six Sigma of the Lopez Group of Companies. A certified Six Sigma Blackbelt, he has 30 years of experience in operations management,
16 years of which were spent in semiconductor wafer fabrication in California’s Silicon Valley .
Dan Lachica finished his B.S. Electrical Engineering at UP Diliman and MBA at San Jose State University in San Jose, California.
He has completed all coursework for his Doctorate in Business Administration in De La Salle University. Dan is currently working on
his dissertation concerning “The Integrated Effects of Lean Principles and Six Sigma on Operations Improvements.”
