First Sumiden Supports 4TH Takbo Para sa Kalikasan 2008
In celebration of the Earth Day, First Sumiden Circuits, Inc. (FSCI) joined the 4th Takbo para sa Kalikasan 2008
on April 25, 2008. The event was an environment awareness program of Safety and Pollution Control Officers’
Association (SPCOA) of the Light Industry and Science Park 1 (LISP1) where FSCI is one of the locators.
FSCI won all the awards in the 18-30 female age category and bagged 2nd place in the 31-45 female age category.
Industrial Engineers Charisse Malaque and Fleur Gatasi bagged 1st and 2nd places while Mary Anne Vargas, Production
Operator, won 3rd place. In the age 31-45 category, Jo-anne Calinog, QA Auditor won 2nd place.
FSCI, with 33 delegates, was given the “Biggest Contingent Award.” Over 100 delegates from various companies located
in LISP 1 participated in the race.
The proceeds of the event were used to fund the tree-planting, river clean-up and other environmental
projects of the industrial park. FSCI also participated in the tree-planting and river clean-up activities held in
April 2008.
Once again, the First Sumiden Team exhibited its winning form and established its presence in the sports competition.
More importantly, it manifested its commitment to support programs aimed to protect the environment.
